SLB Al-Kautsar berdiri pada tanggal 28 Oktober 1991 berlokasi di Jl. Gunung Kupak No. 19 Komplek Perumahan Leuweung Jite Cilegon, awal mulanya dipimpin oleh Bapak Harun Al-Rasyid yang muridnya berjumlah 12 orang dengan dibantu 1 orang guru.
